Sorry for the lame title, but this post is all about walking, so….
For starters, I wanted to mention that I did get up this morning and go to the gym before work. Next time the alarm goes off at 5 AM and I don’t want to get out of bed, I just need to remind myself how good it feels when I do. I walked right at 2 miles going a steady 2.7 mph. I hopped on the elliptical and lasted about 2.5 minutes. I know that 2.5 minutes seems so wimpy, but I swear I burned more calories in that 2.5 minutes than I did in the 40-something I spent on the treadmill! I have vowed to conquer it though – my goal is to be able to do it for an hour. Might take me a year, but I’ll get there.

One last note on walking, a dear friend of mine sent me a note today asking if I wanted to start walking together. I can’t tell you how much this made my day!

Josie, it sounds like a day of victories. I am glad to read you got up early and went to the gym. There is no better way to start the day! To end it with a friend asking to walk with you – what more can you ask for?
Thanks Steve. A day of victories – what a way to look at it!
I would love a walking partner.
Nice! Having someone to walk with is definitely a plus. I’d LOVE to find someone in our new town when we finally get there.
Robin and Jane, I hope you both find walking partners!
